These pressed grass dishes are inspired by, and capture nature, quite literarily. I press individual grasses into asymmetric ovals of stoneware clay. I then release the grasses and hand fill the void with black iron oxide followed by a transparent glaze. They fit  comfortably in your hand and are very tactile. They are hand sized to give an organic natural feel. They can be stacked for storage and display and add a rustic layer to your natural table setting. They can be wall mounted or used as a soap dish too.
These dishes are made by hand, in small batches, by me at my studio in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.

this item is food safe and dishwasher safe though hand washing is preferable
each item varies slightly as the clay is hand shaped, hand glazed and kiln fired at high temperatures
